Overview of Job Description :

The Principal Architect, Enterprise Business Systems is a member of the Corporate Solutions Center of Excellence team and has primary responsibility for creating and managing the corporate applications strategy, processes and procedures for applications. The Principal Architect is responsible for consistent systems integration across multiple platforms. The role will also involve architecting solutions within the entire range of our corporate application suite for various business groups including business finance, product operations, product support, corporate finance, sales and marketing. This role will be based in Alpharetta.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities :

  • Architect and design the best enterprise solutions with the company, department and customer in mind.

  • Primary subject matter expert on the company’s application landscape, platform integrations, and strategy.

  • Aligns corporate needs and technology requirements.

  • Identifying opportunities and for creation of enterprise-level shared applications.

  • Able to balance competing interests of various business customers, cost, complexity.

  • Participates in business case development, project sizing, designing solutions and implementations.

  • Sets and implements enterprise application standards and architectural guidelines in collaboration with the infrastructure architects.

  • Collaborate to ensure designs and solutions are planned with other groups.

  • Help business customers to understand IT capabilities, processes and standards.

  • Brings innovative solutions.

  • Ensure audit criteria are clearly met.

  • Serve as the software architect of the WIC (work intake committee) and review new software applications including open source for cost optimization and scalability.

  • Responsible for the optimization of corporate application technology stack.

  • Research new technologies to provide more efficient and cost optimized solutions.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.

  • 10+ year’s hands on experience solutioning, setting up and troubleshooting corporate application environment including but not limited to ERP, CRM, Web application suites.

  • Knowledge of cloud applications including Oracle, MS Dynamics and SFDC.

  • Understand business operations including operations, finance, supply chain, and shipping.

  • Ability to work with Hyperion, OBIEE, MS-BI cubes for financial needs.

  • Process understanding to standardize and optimize support processes.

  • Understanding of cloud versus on premise solutions – benefits and limitations.

  • Expert in analyzing data to come up with data-driven decisions.

  • Understanding IT application strategy and understanding of global application landscape.

  • Thorough understanding of change management process, approval and coding methodology.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences at different levels.

  • Successful completion of Verint background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification

Preferred Requirements :

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Understanding of Oracle EBS.

  • Understanding of Microsoft technologies.

  • Experience evaluating Open source technologies.

  • Practical experience in E-commerce, digital platform and web content management.

  • Proven ability to drive down complexities and customizations.

  • Hands on experience with development methodologies.

  • In-depth knowledge of reporting and aggregated reporting needs.
